While hiring a digital transformation consultant is always recommended but here's a 30 days digital transformation roadmap you can follow to get ahead of others.

30-days Roadmap to Digital Transformation

Is it possible to achieve a digital transformation with 100% success rate?

The answer is 'not really'. If we are talking about a holistic transformation then it isn't while you can start your journey to it in 30 days or at least have a basic roadmap ready. Let's understand what should your 30 days roadmap look like for a successful digital transformation.

Day 1 of Digital Transformation:

You should start with identifying the key stakeholders who should be the part of leadership team to oversee the digital transformation across departments. This may include board members, few selective C-suite executives and a small team of neutral team members.

Shouldn't we include all the C-suite executives in digital transformation?

The reason is simple. You are right now starting with a quick fix and seems to be in hurry so adding more stakeholders, more bigger team will bring more perspectives, more recommendations and ultimately will require more in-depth analysis of everything we'll do in later days.

Will this help achieve the results with 100% accuracy?

No. A digital transformation strategy is not something that can be formulated in an hour of discussion and rolled out across the organization. Even, it may take years for some to adapt. But the faster we go, the sooner we adapt, the better results we get and it's not about achieving 100% success rate but about achieving the results, your business needs.

So, your day 1 shall be identifying the team of key people to be involved directly in this transformation project.

Day 2 of Digital Transformation:

Now as we have got the team, the 2nd step is to gather challenges & problems across business. The simple step could be to gether as many challenges or problems as possible. If your list is not surpassing a pile of slips to fill a carton box, you didn't took this step seriously yet. And, that's the crucial phase of digital transformation.

Once you are ready with the list, segregate and start grouping it. And, that's your day 3 activity.

Day 3 of Digital Transformation:

Consolidate all the problems & challenges gathered in day 2 and group them together; based on nature of challenge, department, product/service, geography or whatever challenges you foresee.

By this day, you may be thinking why are we doing all this? Isn't this management consulting?

Well yeah, sort of. Digital transformation is considered a branch of management consulting, after all.

Day 4 of Digital Transformation:

The day 4 shall start with identifying current tools & technologies you are using across departments, geographies and business functions, if you are using any.

In some cases, businesses might have been doing everything manually. If so, then identifying what tool can solve the problem & automate it. Is it CRM? SCM? or omnichannel platform?

Day 5 of Digital Transformation:

On day 5, identify what goal(s) do you want to achieve with all these tools you have identified in the previous step. If you don't have any numbers associated to your current business goals or the tools you are trying to handpick, you are mistaken.

It's like you went to airport, trying to board a flight but you don't know where do you want to go. So, the very first question from the check-in counter staff will be "Where do you want to go?".

Same goes with the business.

If I am coming to you as a digital transformation consultant then I'll be asking you "Where do you want to go?". And this is where most business owners & founders go on silent mode because they don't know it.

Are you the someone, who's been stuck at this question?
Or, you are someone, who has cracked it and ready to take the next step?

Don't worry. I've got you covered.

I help business leaders, founders and new-age entrepeneurs running their family businesses, in their digital transformation journey; from identifying their key team, gathering business challenges, setting up business goals and brainstorming tools or technologies to achieving the successful digital transformation.

You can find many who can deliver the motivational talks, while I believe in delivering results; results that are tied to growing & scaling your business digitally.

Whether your challenge is around technology, process, people or building right culture; I am there for a holistic transformation of your business. And, there's no use of sharing day-wise activities because this is like taking an investment tip from some random person unless that person understands your risk appetite, investment goals, personal goals, income level and many other factors. Likewise, a detailed discussion and analysis is required for a smooth digital transformation and transition of your business.

Time to schedule an appointment with me and start with the very first step i.e. Diagnose.
