Those involved in web design or printing industry are well-aware of “lorem ipsum” or other similar default typesetting content especially in website design industry. Basically, what does this non-sense Latin content mean? It is really a non-sense and do not convey any meaning. Still we are using it a lot is just because we want to fill the whitespace of content area. Rather than keeping the content section as blank, we use this dummy text to show how we would display your data. That’s pretty fine but it’s also leading to giving less importance to content.
A recent study states that using “Lorem Ipsum” for dummy section in website design leads to a poor web design practice. Since it does not create any sense so designers use unnecessary sections at different places which may not have any relation with overall website layout and don’t help our clients (who might be a non-technical person) in understanding the actual meaning of those sections. Also, our clients who might be a non-technical person (which is the case in most scenarios) don’t understand what he would wanna write in a module. Adding multiple modules which does not relate each other also makes a website design poor and very cheap. Many small companies in web development don’t understand or don’t know such detailing and that’s why taking down this industry. Each text that you write matters a lot and thus should be written with better care and by following industry guidelines. A meaningful content also help clients understand what and how they have to promote their website. A quality content also helps your website connect more audience with no hassle. And, for demo purpose as well, using specific content increase the website value.
So avoid using lorem ipsum and follow proper guidelines.

Around 10 months back, I worked on a Payroll portal in which instead of using lorem ipsum or any other non-sense content, I used a proper email IDs which don’t relate anybody and used proper naming for company names, persons and for all other requirements. And, when the first demo of the application was delivered to the client, he was happy to see the application and gave a big thanks to help him understand the real-life scenario. He added that he won’t require much efforts to understand the UI (User Interface) as content itself described everything.
